Whitetop, a bucktoothed llama at 27 years and over 250 days old, has been crowned the oldest llama in captivity by Guinness World Records. He resides at Victory Junction, a camp founded by NASCAR's Kyle Petty, offering a comforting environment for children with chronic illnesses. Whitetop's calming and sweet demeanor helps kids feel relaxed as they interact with him. Billie Davis, the camp’s barn director, highlighted how Whitetop encourages children to come out of their shells, creating a joyful atmosphere where they bond with him and other animals.
"He really gets to help campers come out of their shell when they interact with him... they just realize how sweet he is."
"If you try to take a picture of him from the side, he's not into it... and try to get his face from a side profile."
