Segovia, a significant buyer of illicit pills in 2022, was arrested for importing drugs and later changed her plea to accepting responsibility. After initially denying her involvement, she expressed remorse in court, highlighting her role as a caretaker and the impact of her actions on her family. Segovia has since quit drug use and passed numerous tests. Support from family and friends, who described her as a caring individual, came in the form of letters to the judge as she sought leniency.
In a Dec. 18 personal written statement asking the judge for leniency, Segovia expressed remorse for her actions, saying she "would do anything to take it all back."
She said she has also stopped taking pills since her arrest and has passed 45 random drug tests while undergoing counseling and treatment.
