The New York State Bar Association will honor six retiring Appellate Division justices at its annual meeting in Manhattan on Jan. 13, 2026. First Department justices Jeffrey K. Oing and Anil C. Singh were each appointed to the First Department in 2017 after long careers on state Supreme Court and New York County Civil Court. Second Department justices Joseph J. Maltese and Robert J. Miller were appointed in 2014 and 2010 respectively, with Miller serving on the Commission on Judicial Conduct since 2018. Third Department justices John C. Egan Jr. and Michael C. Lynch were appointed in 2010 and 2014.
