'Backlash Against a Black Woman' Led to Kamala Harris Defeat

Kamala Harris lost the 2024 election largely due to backlash against her identity as a Black woman, alongside broader political factors. High inflation contributed to incumbent party losses globally. Problems also included Biden staying in the race too long. The DNC autopsy cited difficulties countering Republican and press misinformation, with candidates failing to project strength, unity, and leadership, leading voters to drift away. It also pointed to negative partisanship, where Republicans nominated deeply flawed candidates, helping Democrats in some races. Another issue was assigning Harris responsibility for the border, which Republicans framed as a failure, including portraying her as a border czar.
