The proposed 4.5m cycleway aims to enhance cycling safety and accessibility in the City of London, running from Aldgate to Blackfriars and linking existing cycle routes.
Scheduled to be completed by April 2028, the cycleway is part of a broader City Corporation initiative to promote cycling as a safe and attractive mode of transportation.
Segregated cycle lanes, required on routes with over 500 vehicles per hour, will be built on key sections like Queen Victoria Street to ensure cyclist safety.
This new infrastructure represents a commitment to create a safer street environment, benefiting both cyclists and the increasing number of people choosing to cycle.
