A busy station in Surrey has been evacuated after what was thought to be a "suspicious package" was found. Officers attended and evacuated the area.
The item was confirmed to be non-suspicious and the station was reopened at around 4.45pm, although major disruption to services is expected until 10pm.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: We were called to Guildford railway station at around 3.16am today following reports of a suspicious package.
The station was evacuated as a precaution, and although all lines have reopened, delays are expected between Staines and Feltham, with connections uncertain.
