Callls to fix Willesden Green tube station's longstanding scaffolding blight
Briefly

Since May 2023, scaffolding has been erected at Willesden Green tube station to prevent falling stone, but it remains in place nearly two years later, reducing the pavement width significantly. This has led to congestion and difficulties for pedestrians, particularly during busy times. Local politicians, including Krupesh Hirani, are urging Transport for London to expedite the repair work needed for scaffolding removal, highlighting the structural hazard it poses and the negative impact on the local community, especially for disabled residents and families with children.
The structure is a hazard and a complete eyesore. No active work is taking place. The delay in completing the works and removing the scaffolding is completely unacceptable and is having a detrimental impact in on the local area.
Disabled residents and parents with pushchairs are struggling to navigate through the structure when it's dark and during rush periods.
