Four services between Ascot and Bagshot were delayed due to a tortoise found on the tracks and taken for a ride on a train.
The tortoise was quickly removed from the railway and later picked up by its owner after the unexpected adventure.
The rail operator confirmed that the tortoise was moved to safety on the platform and reunited with its owner, unharmed.
