The original Superloop bus network launched in 2023, aiming to improve connections across outer London. However, concerns were raised regarding its exclusion of Havering. In response, Mayor Sadiq Khan pledged to introduce Superloop 2, planning routes that connect various regions including Leytonstone and southern Havering via Romford. TfL Commissioner Andy Lord expressed hope for the first route to be operational by late 2025, pending public discussions. The Superloop has already increased bus ridership and awareness, showcasing its potential benefits as further routes are developed.
