'High-octane and sexy': how 'My Fault: London' turned the city into a neon wonderland
Briefly

My Fault: London, a UK adaptation of the Spanish film My Fault, is premiering on Prime Video for Valentine's Day. It follows teenager Noah, who moves from Florida to London and falls for her new stepbrother, Nick. Their summer romance is interrupted by a figure from Noah's past. Filmmakers Charlotte Fassler and Dani Girdwood aimed to depict a vibrant, sexy London, making it a character in the story. Key filming locations were chosen to enhance the film's adventurous and romantic themes, ensuring authenticity and excitement throughout the film.
'There was just this fun, adventurous, alluring, sexy, thrilling and romantic feeling that drew us in,' Charlotte Fassler, the film's co-director with Dani Girdwood, tells Time Out.
'We wanted the city to feel like a character,' says Girdwood. 'It has to have a sense of wish-fulfilment and excitement.'
The filmmakers aimed to show a 'high-octane and sexier' London that still felt real, avoiding generic locations to create authenticity in the story.
Girdwood describes their chosen home in Highwood, Mill Hill as 'massive and imposing' to create a stunning visual impact for viewers.
