Jesus' burial spot yields new Biblical clues about his death and resurrection, scientists say
Briefly

Researchers from Sapienza University of Rome have uncovered new archaeological evidence that supports the long-held belief that Jesus was crucified and buried at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. They discovered plant remains, possibly linked to the biblical garden described in John 19:41, alongside tombs made of marble associated with Joseph of Arimathea, the man who provided Jesus' burial site. This evidence could redefine historical perspectives on Jesus' final moments and burial location, prompting additional studies in the coming future.
The Gospel mentions a green area between the Calvary and the tomb, and we identified these cultivated fields, explained lead archaeologist, Francesca Romana Stasolla.
