London travel news LIVE: Chaos on M25 as lorry fire causes three hour delays and 11 mile tailbacks
Briefly

Motorists faced delays of up to three hours after a lorry fire on the M25 caused traffic jams stretching for 11 miles. The incident occurred around 1.30am when a lorry carrying metal sheeting caught fire. Five fire units and a specialised water carrier from Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded promptly, and the fire was extinguished by 3am, but lane restrictions continued due to the hot cargo.
Despite the fire being put out, the lorry's cargo remained extremely hot, resulting in lane restrictions on the M25. As of 11:38am, two lanes were still closed between junctions five and six. Traffic monitoring service Inrix reported that while one lane was briefly reopened, "severe delays" were still affecting motorists trying to navigate through the area.
