London weather: Wind and rain warning issued for capital this weekend with 50mph gusts forecast

A deep low may cross England and Wales from Friday afternoon, clearing to the east Saturday night. This low is forecasted to bring strong winds and heavy rain.
People are being advised of a danger to life from flying debris as well as from large waves at the coast, particularly as wind gusts may reach up to 80mph.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for north-west Scotland due to high winds, beginning Wednesday afternoon and extending into Northern Ireland and northern England.
The forecast predicts heavy rain of 15-25mm across central and northern parts of England and Wales, with risk of flooding in higher ground areas due to up to 70mm.
