Nizar Msaad and Shaquille Allen used a moped to target people wearing expensive watches, carrying machetes, punching, kicking, and running over victims during a two-hour crime spree in central London on October 1, 2022.
The duo admitted to committing three attempted robberies, displaying violent behavior by knocking victims to the ground, threatening them with machetes, and physically attacking them in an effort to steal their watches.
DNA evidence found on the moped linked both Msaad and Allen to the crimes, leading to their identification. Msaad was sentenced to 40 months in jail, and Allen, in addition to the same sentence, received a 54-month term for another offense.
