Major road linking Croydon and Sutton closes for 'a month' due to sink hole
Briefly

A major road linking Croydon and Sutton is closed and could be for another month after a sinkhole was found, prompting urgent repairs by Thames Water.
Thames Water's statement outlines that due to the sinkhole, they are performing complex sewer repairs while collaborating with SGN and TFL due to a nearby gas pipe.
The repair work will take place from Monday to Sunday between 8am and 8:30pm, and tankers are used to manage wastewater effectively.
Pedestrian footpaths and cycleways on Croydon Road will remain open, despite the full road closure scheduled from September 25, with repairs expected to last around four weeks.
