The South Asian Sounds Festival returns to the Southbank Centre from May 15 to 18, 2025, celebrating traditional music from Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh, along with UK-based musicians. This year’s lineup includes Baluchi Shrivastav OBE, who collaborates with Re-Orient, and various artists like Sumeet Chopra and Osman Mir, culminating in a performance by the Rizwan Muazzam Qawwali Group. The festival aims to spotlight diverse musical cultures, enriching the cultural landscape of London and engaging younger generations of music enthusiasts. Complete schedules will be revealed in the spring.
The Southbank Centre has been the home for rich and diverse musical cultures from across South Asia for decades and South Asian Sounds continues to build on that legacy.
It's a privilege and a priority to continue to showcase the very best of this work, including new music and emerging voices that connect to younger generations of music lovers.
