Martyn Blake, 40, is accused of murdering 24-year-old Mr Kaba, who was shot once in the head while in his Audi car on September 6, 2022.
The trial is being presided over by Mr Justice Goss at the Old Bailey, with the proceedings expected to last for up to three weeks.
Blake, previously identified as NX121, has denied the murder charge, and jurors will be sworn in before the prosecution begins its case.
Prosecutor Tom Little KC is set to open the case against Blake, outlining the evidence and allegations in what is anticipated to be a lengthy trial.
