Leanne McDonnell, 33, has denied ownership of a banned pit bull terrier that fatally attacked her friend, Akif Mustaq, in her east London flat.
The attack, which occurred on December 4, left Mr. Mustaq with serious injuries to his neck, windpipe, thumb, and thigh before he passed away.
McDonnell appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court facing charges for owning or being responsible for the dog, which culminated in Mr. Mustaq's tragic death.
Following the incident, McDonnell has been granted conditional bail, with her next court appearance scheduled for June 2.
