To honor the 80th anniversary of VE Day, the Tower of London will rededicate the iconic ceramic poppies installation beginning May 6 to November 11, 2025. Originally created by artist Paul Cummins during the 2014 display for WWI, these poppies will pour over the Tower's lawn in a new design by Tom Piper, symbolizing a wound from the Blitz. This commemorative space invites visitors to reflect on wartime sacrifices, and access requires admission to the Tower.
The installation will become a shared space for people to come and reflect on the sacrifices made by so many during the conflict.
This spring will see the return of the ceramic poppies to the Tower's lawn to commemorate the end of WWII in Europe.
