The Drogheda Songwriting Festival 2026 takes place Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27 at The Barbican Centre. Tickets cost €50 for admission to both days. The mentor lineup includes Colm Gavin (The Art of Writing to Pitch), Áine Tyrrell (Write To Rise), Maria McCormack (Transforming Real Life Stories into Powerful Songs), and David Hope (Finding Fun in Creativity). SJ McArdle and Keith Burke return for Sunday “Song Surgery” sessions. Participants can perform newly written material at the closing Gala Concert, where one songwriter receives the Clare Corrigan Perpetual Trophy and a professional recording session with Daniel de Búrca at Jejune Studios. The festival operates exclusively at the Barbican Centre with multiple rooms for collaboration and development. Expansion to two days followed feedback requesting more time to work on songs and build creative partnerships.
"Tickets for the two-day event are priced at €50 and include admission for both days."
