County Donegal is expected to be busy over the June Bank Holiday weekend, with live music, festivals, and inspirational events for a range of interests. Ballyshannon hosts the 22nd Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival from May 28 to May 31, 2026, celebrating the music and life of Rory Gallagher, born in Ballyshannon. The festival draws fans from over 20 countries for 40 acts across 15 stages over four days. Letterkenny Pride returns on the same weekend, beginning with a screening and free refreshments, followed by bingo, youth theatre, choirs, brass bands, DJ sets, street performances, food and market stalls, and a parade at 4pm, with evening entertainment afterward.
