A Star-Bound drone performance went awry on Monday, with 83 drones plunging into Cockle Bay and six landing on a boardwalk. No injuries were reported. On Saturday, Vivid cancelled all remaining drone shows scheduled for the next two weeks to provide certainty for visitors, residents, and event attendees. Fireworks will complement the Laser Lightfall experience at previously scheduled drone times. Skymagic reported an unforeseen post-take-off change in radio frequency environment compromised positional accuracy, with early indications showing no foul play while investigations continue.
