Counter-terror police investigate another arson attack
"Commander Helen Flanagan stated, 'At this stage last night's arson is not being linked to other incidents in the north-west London area over the last week or last month's arson in Golders Green but counter terrorism officers are leading due to the similarities of each attack.'"
"Det Ch Supt Luke Williams acknowledged local residents' concerns and mentioned that police presence in the area had been increased, including armed patrols and officers trained to identify suspicious behaviour."
An arson attack occurred on a business in Hendon, London, where a man attempted to ignite three bottles of fluid. The bottles did not fully ignite, causing minor damage. Counter-terrorism police are leading the investigation, although the incident is not treated as terrorism and is not linked to other local incidents. Increased police presence, including armed patrols, has been implemented to address community concerns. Similar attacks on a media organization and a synagogue are also under investigation.
