Samurai sword and more seized in week of police action across east London

Police operations from June 23 to June 29 led to multiple arrests and seizures in Havering, Redbridge, and Barking & Dagenham. In Romford, a fight prompted the recovery of a samurai sword and arrests for affray. Officers also found cannabis, cash, and a baseball bat in a stopped car, and discovered a cannabis factory with 80,000 worth of plants in Hornchurch, leading to a guilty plea for production. Further, a warrant in Dagenham resulted in the seizure of a gun and ammunition, along with the discovery of a cannabis factory in Woodford, risking resident safety.
During the week, police were called to Romford with reports of a fight which resulted in two weapons being seized, including a samurai sword.
A cannabis factory was discovered inside a ninth floor flat on Liston Way, Woodford, with around 100 plants seized and an estimated street value of 100,000.
Officers discovered that the electricity meter had been tampered with to facilitate the factory, risking the safety of other residents in the building.
A 42-year-old man was arrested and charged after officers discovered 80,000 worth of cannabis plants inside a home.
