A fatal road traffic collision occurred on the R742 at Ballinvunnia, Kilmuckridge, Co. Wexford on Tuesday 26 May 2026 at about 3.30 p.m. A car and a motorcycle were involved. The 19-year-old motorcycle driver was taken to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin for life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced deceased in the early hours of Wednesday 27 May. No other injuries were reported at the time. The road was cordoned off while Garda Forensic Collision Investigators examined the scene, and the road has since reopened. Road users with camera or dash cam footage from between 3 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. are asked to provide it. Anyone with information should contact Gorey Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line, or any Garda Station. Investigations are ongoing.
