A black bear, weighing between 500-600 pounds, has become a nuisance in a crawlspace of an evacuated home in Altadena, causing significant concerns among local residents. The bear, which likely sought refuge during the nearby Eaton fire, has been damaging property, including trash bins and insulation, as well as attacking a neighbor's pet goat. Sean Lorenzini, the homeowner, seeks help from California Department of Fish and Wildlife to relocate the bear, acknowledging the tension between wildlife conservation and personal safety.
"I feel really sorry for this bear. I know we're encroaching on their territory, so I'm sympathetic to that... But at the same time, I've got a property to protect."
