Some residents allowed to return to devastated Pacific Palisades, Altadena neighborhoods

With containment improving and winds dying down, residents are beginning to return to neighborhoods affected by the Eaton and Palisades fires, which have destroyed over 12,000 structures.

Fire officials are focusing on constructing containment lines and extinguishing hot spots in the next several days to prevent further spread, as more than 8,600 firefighters remain deployed.
