UCLA opens spring football workouts with all 17 transfers in place
Briefly

UCLA football coach DeShaun Foster highlighted the positive energy among players during their first spring practice. Despite needing to calm their enthusiasm, Foster praised the team's focus, especially after an intense winter training program that significantly improved their fitness. Freshman running back Karson Cox gained weight, while Garrett DiGiorgio lost fat and gained muscle. With all 17 transfers, including experienced quarterback Joey Aguilar, ready to play, Foster is optimistic about the team's potential after a disappointing 5-7 record last season. Aguilar may take the lead, given his extensive playing experience.
"I kind of had to calm them down to get them ready for the special team meeting, but I love the way the team is approaching this and just hopefully can carry this on to the rest of spring."
"He's gonna go out there first, but it's always a competition. Just spring ball, so everybody will get an opportunity to compete, but he does have the most experience in the room."
