Jordan Westburg has a partially-torn UCL and oblique soreness and received a platelet-rich plasma injection in his elbow. He will be out until at least May while rehabbing the UCL. The oblique issue appears to be fairly minor. Westburg has missed time since his 2023 debut due to a broken hand, a sprained ankle, a strained hamstring, and an index finger sprain. He is a 2024 All-Star and a career .264/.312/.456 hitter in just over 1,000 plate appearances, with a .269/.317/.497 line in 101 games before the 2024 broken hand. The repeated setbacks have taken a mental toll and created doubts as he seeks ways to strengthen his body.
