Astros Reinstate Yordan Alvarez From Injured List
Briefly

Yordan Alvarez, an outfielder/designated hitter, has been reinstated from the 60-day injured list and returned to the Houston Astros active roster. The Astros held an open 40-man roster spot because right-hander Shawn Dubin was designated for assignment earlier in the week. To create an active roster spot, the Astros optioned infielder Brice Matthews to Triple-A. These roster moves allow Alvarez to resume his role with the club.
