"I remember saying, 'Freddie, Mookie, Shohei in that lineup. I can't wait to pitch.' That's really the start of it. But just seeing what they're able to do and wanting to be a part of it and knowing how important postseason is to them, that's just something I wanted to be a part of. Even playing against them, watching, it was just always in the back of my mind, like, I wanted to be a Dodger and play on that team."
"He has allowed just two runs on six hits with 28 strikeouts against five walks in 21 innings pitched across three starts."
The Dodgers signed Blake Snell to a five-year, $182 million contract last offseason. Snell missed most of his first season with the Dodgers due to left shoulder inflammation before returning in early August. He finished the regular year strongly and elevated his performance in the postseason, allowing two runs on six hits with 28 strikeouts and five walks in 21 innings across three starts. Snell made one start in the Wild Card round, NLDS and NLCS. He is set to pitch in his second World Series and is likely to start one of the first two games. Snell said joining the Dodgers was driven by a desire to reach and win a World Series.
