"I definitely felt like that was the low point of the season, I know a lot of teams that could have caved in that one, in that moment. But we didn't."
"I think it was a perfect time because that was devastating. It was heartbreaking losing that game when Yamamoto was one pitch away from a no-hitter and then losing that game against a team that's not even in contention. You start thinking, 'What's wrong with us?'"
On Sept. 6 the Dodgers suffered their fifth consecutive loss when Yoshinobu Yamamoto carried a no-hitter into the ninth before Jackson Holliday's solo homer broke it up and the Orioles walked off Los Angeles 4-3 after the Dodgers failed to retire the final five batters. The defeat represented a season low point for the club, but the Dodgers responded by winning their next four games and losing only one series the rest of the regular season. The lineup rebounded offensively and the bullpen tightened during the postseason. The Dodgers swept the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS and now seek four wins to repeat as World Series champions.
