The bullpen issues have been a mystery. Last year, the pen was great; this year, terrible. In OOTP Baseball, you have to continually upgrade the bullpen, likely in real life too, but I didn't think it was going to be an issue this year.
I don't think a firing will change anything, but they seem to happen.
