Marc Skinner has extended his contract as head coach of Manchester United until June 2027, with a potential extra year. He led the team to its first major trophy, the FA Cup, in 2024, and secured a historic Champions League qualification by finishing second in the WSL. Currently, the team ranks third in the league while boasting the best defensive record. Skinner expresses enthusiasm for continuing to build a competitive team, with the goal of consistently challenging for titles, as emphasized by United CEO Collette Roche's commitment to women's football.
It has been an absolute privilege to serve as head coach for this fantastic football club for the past four years, and I am delighted to be extending my time.
Building a successful and popular women's team is an important part of our wider, football first strategy for the club.
