Alicia Strata faced two challenging job markets, first after college during the Great Recession and again after raising children for a decade. Despite the obstacles, she pursued Teach for America, which provided a purposeful role as a teacher on a Native American reservation. The experience not only improved her resilience and creativity in overcoming challenges but also helped her grow personally. Although it did not directly advance her marketing career, it equipped her with valuable life skills essential for professional success.
