Disney+ expands subscriber perks, including movie premieres
Briefly

Disney is enhancing its Disney+ and Hulu streaming services with new subscriber perks in an effort to boost loyalty and retention. Starting Thursday, Disney+ users will enjoy various discounts, free items, and the chance to win exclusive experiences, such as movie premieres and cruises. Hulu will launch its perks program on June 2, featuring opportunities for tickets to popular events. These initiatives reflect a broader strategy among streaming services to retain subscribers and increase their value to advertisers, with Disney+ recently reporting a slight increase in its subscriber count.
Subscribers who sign-in through the Disney+ website will be able to redeem perks such as discounts on Disney resorts and $10 credit at Disney Pinnacle.
The program builds on offers introduced last year, supporting long-term subscriber retention and preventing cancellations, thus increasing value for advertisers.
Our fans are some of the most passionate in the world, and perks are our way of thanking them for subscribing to Disney+, said Samantha Rosenberg.
Disney+ had 126 million global subscribers at the end of March, while Hulu had 54.7 million, indicating growth trends in both streaming services.
