After realizing the judgement, the full amount of €9,439.59 was paid immediately. The situation was clarified with a letter from Ivor Fitzpatrick solicitors to Revenue, confirming the debt was cleared, which reflected the diligent and responsive manner in which the company addressed the oversight.
Revenue, in their communication, indicated they were legally prevented from discussing the specifics of this tax matter due to section 851A of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997. Therefore, without disclosing exact details, they emphasized their inability to comment on individual tax affairs, maintaining their standard protocol regarding taxpayer confidentiality irrespective of public interest in the case and surrounding company matters.
Despite the challenges, AS Goss Ireland Media Ltd has shown improvement in its financial status, reducing its overall losses from €66,000 in 2021 to €60,264 at the close of 2022. With five employees, including founder Alexandra Ryan, the company’s director remuneration reached €87,074 in 2022, suggesting that operational stability and a positive trajectory are ongoing priorities for the business as it navigates its decade-long journey in the media landscape.
