Max is pulling CNN and sports from some US subscribers starting on March 30
Briefly

Warner Bros. Discovery announced that starting March 30, ad-supported Max subscribers will no longer have access to CNN and Bleacher Report Sports content. Only those with ad-free subscriptions will be able to access these services. CEO JB Perrette stated that this decision followed a year of evaluating viewer habits, and that the changes allow for ongoing investment in premium sports and news content. This change will lead to a substantial cost increase for subscribers who wish to retain access to these channels, causing disappointment among budget-conscious viewers.
Following a year of assessing viewer habits, WBD announced that ad-supported Max subscribers will lose access to CNN and B/R Sports starting March 30.
J.B. Perrette stated, 'We believe that the best place for that content for now is within the Standard and Premium tiers', focusing on premium investment.
The change means ad-tier subscribers will pay significantly more to access previously available content, which effectively includes ads that they would then still face.
Originally, CNN Max was promised as free for all Max subscriptions when the service launched; this shift marks a significant change in offering.
