Norwood Hospital and its four clinics are next on the Steward chopping block
Briefly

"With this notice of closure, we can now focus on moving forward and meeting the health care needs of the Norwood community without Steward, their lenders or the owners of the real estate dictating the path," said Secretary of Health and Human Services Kate Walsh in a statement.
"Steward needs to present the state with a closure plan as soon as possible that outlines how they will ensure continued access to care in the community and support the workforce."
Despite the closure, the satellite campuses providing cancer treatments, radiology, and physical therapy will finish treatments before closing on Nov. 5.
The state hopes a new, "responsible" operator will step up to take over the hospital and is prepared to work with any interested parties.
