A survey shows that Gen Z defines 'old age' as starting from 35, with 22 percent agreeing. In contrast, 35 percent of millennials see age 40 as the threshold for youth. The perception among Gen Z is strict, with some deeming individuals as old at ages as young as 27. However, both generations share a belief that aging doesn't diminish desirability, with 44 percent of millennials and 33 percent of Gen Z stating that age does not equate to being undesirable.
More than a fifth of Gen Z (22 percent) say that age 35 is already over the hill, marking a significant generational perception of aging.
While the survey results show that 41 percent of millennials believe you're still 'young' up until the age of 60, Gen Z has a more stringent view on youth.
