The Monroe County Sheriff's Office confirmed that a boat crashed into the Card Sound Bridge, injuring at least two people and closing one of the access roads to the Florida Keys.
The crash occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on Wednesday, and the incident is being handled by the Ocean Reef Fire Rescue, which serves the gated community of Ocean Reef Club.
Card Sound Road, the rural highway affected by the incident, connects Key Largo to the mainland, while the more frequented route is the U.S. 1 18 Mile Stretch.
