According to his arrest report, two witnesses saw Carroll slap his wife twice and spit at her around 10 times during a heated argument.
Assistant Chief of Police Armando Aguilar said in a statement Carroll...has been relieved of duty, pending further investigation.
"When acts of domestic violence are perpetrated by law enforcement officers, they are especially disheartening, as they represent a breach of the sacred trust placed in us by the people we serve."
Carroll was recently mentioned in a racial discrimination lawsuit filed by former police officer Weslyne Lewis Francois...who stated that Carroll acknowledged that Miami Police Chief had a vendetta against her due to her race.
