More than 2,000 police officers recorded their average compensation of $126,000, making this role the most common in Miami-Dade government, followed closely by correctional officers at $107,000.
Using a detailed compensation database from the county, the Herald analyzed over 34,000 employees to present a comprehensive overview of salaries across county bureaucracy, excluding workers with very low annual compensation.
