Marlins place right-hander Edward Cabrera on 15-day injured list with elbow sprain
Briefly

Edward Cabrera was placed on the 15-day injured list with a right elbow sprain. The onset of the elbow issue and the likelihood of a return this season remain unclear. Cabrera allowed six runs (five earned) on eight hits over four innings in his last start on Aug. 30 against the New York Mets. He entered the injury with a 3.57 ERA, 140 strikeouts, a career-high 24 starts, 128 2/3 innings and a 7-7 record. Manager Clayton McCullough expressed concern about the elbow but said the club remains optimistic pending further concrete information. The Marlins also made multiple roster moves, selecting Brian Navarreto and Luarbert Arias from Triple-A Jacksonville, recalling Michael Petersen, and transferring Anthony Bender and Tyler Zuber to the 60-day injured list.
Any time it's a pitcher and it's that part in the elbow, you have some concern,
Right now until we get some more concrete info on what's going on there we remain optimistic.
