On Holocaust Remembrance Day, Miami-Dade students hear harrowing stories of survival
Briefly

Holocaust survivor Allan Hall, 90, shares his experiences with students at Ransom Everglades Middle School in honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Alongside the Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach and 3GMiami, Hall recounts his harrowing childhood of escaping Nazi soldiers and hiding to survive. He began speaking publicly about his trauma at age 60, finding it challenging yet essential to educate future generations about the impact of unchecked hate. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, and Hall continues to advocate for remembrance and education.
I feel honored and privileged to be able to speak to kids in general. Many of them walk away just feeling overwhelmed... it seems to be impactful.
When I started speaking publicly, the first year or so, I could never get through a presentation without breaking down and crying.
