Dolphins' Grier addresses Ramsey situation, offseason, lack of spending, draft, more
Briefly

Dolphins General Manager Chris Grier discussed the possibility of trading Jalen Ramsey during a pre-draft news conference, stating that while Ramsey did not personally request a trade, discussions led them to believe it might be in everyone's best interest to explore that option. Grier emphasized that the team's focus is on winning now and in the future, highlighting their commitment to Tyreek Hill who is expected to remain with the team despite no trade offers. The GM provided insight into strategic decisions regarding player contracts and draft strategies.
We've had some discussions with teams and we will see how it falls. A lot discussions we will keep internally. We felt this was best for the Dolphins.
Jalen did not ask for a trade. But after a couple of weeks of discussions internally and his representation, it was in the best interests of all parties to move forward.
We feel good where he is. It's never easy to replace a player like Jalen. For the Dolphins going forward, this is the best chance for us to win this year and the future as well.
Tyreek Hill wants to be here. He has been working incredibly hard, here every day, been doing everything.
