About 17 smugglers were detained during the operations that involved multiple agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard Cutters Valiant and Joseph Doyle, the Royal Netherlands Navy.
Colton Howell told CBS Miami that the massive haul of cocaine will be handed over to the DEA.
Howell stated, 'All the training that we do... all of our training paid off.'
