The Miami Heat suffered a 106-104 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, with coach Erik Spoelstra and center Bam Adebayo expressing frustration over the game's officiating. The Heat had a chance to send the game into overtime after trailing by six points, but Adebayo’s last-second three-point attempt missed. Spoelstra argued that Adebayo was fouled in the final moments, a call that could have changed the outcome. He emphasized that the team's performance was commendable despite the loss, highlighting missed opportunities and the competitive nature of the match.
This is what I'll say, that last baseline out of bounds, we did not execute and get what we wanted to. With that said, Bam got fouled. I'm not trying to get fined. League, don't fine me. I'm not doing histrionics up here. I'm fully in control. At any point during the game, that's a foul.
We had our opportunities through that fourth quarter. It was back and forth. It was a great game. Both teams were playing for something and they made more plays.
