"We look forward to a bigger season than ever, with more than twice as many trips and an additional destination," Dennis Newman, Amtrak's executive vice president, said in a statement. The expanded service showcases a commitment to meet growing customer demand and enhance accessibility to Colorado's ski resorts.
Colorado Gov. Jared Polis highlighted the train as a "great opportunity for Coloradans and visitors to explore our mountains without the hassle of driving or traffic" and emphasized that the added service will help "save time and money on our way to enjoying our great outdoors."
Tickets for the train start at just $19 (or $9.50 for kids) and are available to book online, making it an affordable option for families and outdoor enthusiasts looking to enjoy skiing in Winter Park.
The Winter Park Express will kick off on Dec. 20 and include 69 round trips this season, significantly more than last year, showcasing increased efforts to cater to skiers.”
