At least 30 children have died due to drug shortages in north-west Pakistan's Kurram district following road closures implemented amidst a surge of sectarian violence.
Syed Mir Hassan, the medical superintendent in Parachinar, reported that medicine shortages have resulted in the tragic deaths of at least 30 children, highlighting the acute health crisis.
According to local resident Ahbaab Ali, the situation is dire: 'We have a shortage of food, medicines, milk and fuel,' emphasizing the growing humanitarian crisis.
Faisal Edhi from the Edhi Foundation noted, 'People are in dire need of help.' His efforts to supply medicine and food underscore the urgent requirements of the stranded population.
